This study examines the socio-economic impacts of the Kayutangan Heritage Area revitalization in Malang City through a spatial approach. Integrating qualitative methods with spatial mapping, the research analyzes land-use changes, business location growth, and community perceptions before and after revitalization. Findings reveal a significant shift from predominantly residential to mixed commercial functions, with a notable increase in culinary, handicraft, and tourism-related businesses. The revitalization has stimulated local economic growth, enhanced community participation, and strengthened heritage identity. However, challenges such as waste management, congestion, and income distribution transparency persist. The study offers recommendations for inclusive and sustainable heritage management, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
