In the educational and online learning management sectors, LMS version upgrades often affect user experience and effectiveness in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to understand how users adapt to LMS changes after LMS upgrades by using survey and data analysis methods, usability testing, and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to collect user's perspectives on LMS upgrades and how positive transfer affects the aspects studied. The result of this study is that the version upgrade of ELING LMS has a significant impact on the student experience, where students have a good positive transfer by using the knowledge and skills from the LMS before the version upgrade to the LMS after the version upgrade. This research is expected to provide better insight into how version changes on the LMS can affect users and how to maximize the benefits of these changes. © 2023 ACM.
