TheWaste derived carbon nanomaterials increasing surge in agricultural waste materialsWaste materials (AWMs) presents both environmental challenges and opportunities for sustainable resource utilization. Recent trends have seen a massive transformation of discarded resources into value-added products that could be catered for various applications. One such pioneering avenue looks into the exploration of carbon nanomaterialsNanomaterials(CNMs)Carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) using agricultural waste residues. This chapter delves into the synthesis and characterizationCharacterization aspects of agricultural waste-derived CNMs (AWD-CNMs) with remarkable biomedical potential. The recent developments in the synthesis methodologies provide insight into the efficient conversion of these waste feedstocks into high-quality CNMs. The significance of customized synthesis procedures in regulating the dimensions, structure, and surface characteristics of these nanomaterialsNanomaterials (NMs) is also emphasized. The characterizationCharacterization techniques are also detailed, emphasizing the importance of the structural and functional attributes that dictate their biomedical applicability. In biomedical research, CNMs hold significant potential for tissue engineeringTissue engineering. They support tissue growth by forming structures that encourage cell development and regeneration. In conclusion, this chapter showcases the promising biomedical prospects of agricultural waste-derived CNMs (AWD-CNMs) as a sustainable and environmentally conscious solution. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
