In this study, we developed a method for making nano hydroxyapatite-collagen scaffolds using the freeze-dried method as bone graft material. The aim of this research is to analyze and characterize the combination of SHED secretome nano hydroxyapatite-collagen scaffold, which meets the physical and chemical requirements to support bone tissue regeneration. Nano hydroxyapatite-collagen synthesis was verified by means of a series of techniques, including Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), which assessed the formation of nanoparticles, the phase of crystallinity, size, composition, surface morphology, and crystal structure, respectively. SEM examination showed the scaffold diameter is between 59-89 μm. EDX showed calcium as the main non-metal element composition. XRD analysis revealed a graphic pattern with firm and sloping peaks. FTIR results illustrate the presence of the functional groups -OH, PO4, COO, and C=O. Based on its properties, the SHED secretome and nano hydroxyapatite-collagen scaffold combination shows promise as a biomaterial for bone tissue engineering. © 2025 University of Dicle.
