Abstract

Inventory is a critical issue that wreaks havoc on the production process and supply chain. In supply chain activities, integrated decision inventory can improve performance and produce optimal solutions. The Integrated Production Inventory (IPI) model is one issue with integrated inventory management. It focuses on inventory management for work-in-process goods and finished products in production activities and raw material inventory management in procurement. This research thoroughly examines the problem with the IPP inventory model for food production. A review paper published between 2010 and 2023 was conducted. The complexity, data type, time dynamics, optimization type, solution type, and paper type are all considered in this review paper. In the body of this paper, the results of the review analysis, gap research, and future research directions for the IPI for the food production model were presented. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc..
