In the current study, the materials to be used for permeable medium layer are ceramics, carbon steel, and copper. Saturated vapor flowed over the layer that is in the sudden changed channel inside a chamber. In the permeable medium material, an analysis of the impact of each heat conductivity on the temperature distribution, temperature spectrum, and heat exchange rate that occurs in the permeable medium is carried out. Analysis was performed using ANSYS Workbench 18.1 software. The results of the analysis show that the heat conductivity, without the sudden changed channel impact, proportionally influences the heat exchange and temperature spectrum in permeable ceramics and permeable carbon steel medium under saturated vapor flow. However, the heat conductivity and the sudden changed channel impact greatly influence the temperature spectrum, heat exchange rate, and the temperature profile in all of segments of the chamber system. © 2025, Semarak Ilmu Publishing.
