Earthquakes pose significant risks, particularly in densely populated areas, such as Turen District, Malang Regency, Indonesia, which is home to an important factory. Pindad arms industry. The geological map of the Turen Quadrangle suggests a fault exists along the east side of the district, near the Lesti River, which may increase the likelihood of fault reactivation and subsequent earthquakes. Confirming the presence of this fault is crucial, as it could threaten both the environment and the local population, as well as impact Indonesia's defense capabilities. This study employs the topographic gravity model through geophysical methods, specifically SVD and FHD, analyzing gravity data from GGMplus and SRTM topography. Initial findings show no fault detection; the topographic patterns and river flow further support this conclusion. Direct gravity measurements or alternative geophysical techniques are recommended to achieve more definitive results. © 2025, Union of Iraqi Geologists. All rights reserved.
