The purpose of this research was to study the effect of land use change on surface run off and to know the capability of existing drainage capacity. Location of study was at Petung watershed, Pasuruan city, Indonesia. The methodologies consisted of studying the effect of land use change in the year of 1995, 2000, and 2005 and the relation between land use change and surface run off, and then analyzing the capability of drainage capacity. Result was used as an evaluation on planning of land use change so that did not disturb human life activity and was able to maintain environmental balance.
