Abstract

The recent decentralization and local autonomy in Indonesia have brought some implications. The implications are the changing pattern of the relationship between the governmental levels and greater authority on the local government, as well as the opening of the opportunity for the local to do interregional cooperation. There are also some barriers against the cooperation, involving untrustworthy, power domination, excessive expectation, political and cultural environments, religion, ethnic, and racial.
