Abstract

A proposal for spectral broadening of tens milli Joule femtosecond laser pulses in an argon-filled hollow fiber is presented. The simulation results show that the method could be useful under conditions where ionization plays a greater role and that it can be used to control plasma-induced spectral broadening.
