Chapter 2 covers the review of literature relevant to this study. The literature review is used as the theoretical foundation for the conceptual framework, hypotheses, research methods and discussions of this study. Therefore, after reviewing the relevant literature, the development of the conceptual framework and the hypotheses to be tested are presented in Chap. 3. There are eight hypotheses to be tested in relation to the interrelationship between corporate governance, business environment, and strategy, and the impact of corporate governance and strategy on performance and earnings quality. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.
