The performance of premixed micro-combustion in the cylindrical micro-combustors is discussed in this research paper. In this investigation, three types of micro-combustor having different parameter value of Area ratio (surface area to cross-sectional area of the chamber) were tested. A premixed fuel is used in this research which is composed by LPG as fuel and oxygen as oxidizer. The study includes generating temperature distribution on external surface area of combustion chamber, computations for combustion power, emissive power, and efficiency of the micro-combustors. Results indicated that the effect of Area ratio on Radiative power was significant for all values of Ar studied (20-40), and also the flow rate of the mixture influenced the efficiency of micro-combustors. The analysis of research showed that the emissive power (Pe) and efficiency of micro combustors are strongly influenced by area ratio (Ar) and the flow rate of the mixture (Q). The highest emissive power was produced by the micro combustor having area ratio of 26.67 operated with the mixture flow rate of 630 [mL/min], but best performance or efficiency of 7.1 [%] was demonstrated by this combustor when operated with the mixture flow rate of 450 [mL/min]. © Research India Publications.
