Abstract

In this paper, we propose a discrete modified Leslie-Gower predator- prey model with Holling-type II functional response derived from the nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) method. It is shown that the NSFD scheme preserves the dynamics of the corresponding continuous model such as the positivity solutions, equilibria and the local stability properties. The dynamical consistence of the discrete model is independent of time-step size. To confirm the analytical results, some numerical simulations are presented. © 2016 Pushpa Publishing House, Allahabad, India.
