Abstract

This paper proposed to arrange the combination of rectifier and antenna, called rectenna, serially to increase its DC voltage output. Because of our lack in equipment, the number of used rectenna was not more than three. This paper also compared three systems, one with Rectangular Patch Array Receiver Antenna, another with Switch Polarity Receiver Antenna, and the last was without Receiver Antenna. The highest DC voltage output was always generated by system with Rectangular Patch Array Receiver Antenna. More than one rectenna arranged serially can provide a greater DC voltage output than a system with only one rectenna. However, the generated DC voltage output didn't increase linearly. In the future, the DC voltage resulted from rectenna are expected to be energy source for power bank, Light Emitting Diode (LED), etc. © 2016 IEEE.
