This study addresses the issues leadership style (path goal theory), information technology infrastructure, and knowledge management implementation in State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. This article purpose to analyze and examine how leaders and the infrastructure of technology information may support for knowledge management implementation. While most studies relating to aspects of knowledge management are concerned with the industry, the university have not received much attention, especially in Indonesia. We validated our measures and tested our research model using 160 respondents. We conclude that leadership style and information technology are key factors that influence knowledge management implementation. Finally, recommendations and implications are discussed to help university guide their efforts to knowledge management strategy. © 2017 IEEE.
