Abstract

This experiment was aimed to examine the growth, yield and nutritive value of some Paspalum sps treated with Arbuscular mycorrhiza. The research was conducted in deer captivity area of Darmaga Forest Research, Forest Research and Development Corporation of The Ministry of Forestry. Model used was a randomized block design with factorial model 5 group/block. The first factor consisted of Paspalum atratum, Paspalum notatum and Paspalum gueonarum, the second factor consisted of Arbuscular mycorrhiza fertilization levels, i.e. 0 spore, 10 spores, 20 spores, and 30 spores per 5 kg of soil. The results showed that interaction between Paspalum atratum and Arbuscular mycorrhiza treatments at a level 30 spores per 5 kg of soil resulted in the highest biomass production (122,00 cm plant height; 25,60 tillers), nutritive value (61,55% organic material digestibility), and 37,80% Arbuscular mycorrhiza colonization. © Global Science Publications.
