Conflict between elephants and humans has recently increased. Seeing this problem, it takes a tool that can detect elephants when entering residential areas automatically and effectively. Elephants detection is a tool that can overcome these problems by utilizing the incorporation of working principles of PIR sensors, Microwave Radar sensors and tripwire systems as an animal detection method. From this detection is expected citizens are better prepared when these large animals enter the residential area so that the number of citizen losses due to elephants may decrease. The result of this tool testing is obtained that PIR sensor can detect elephant with span distance between 1-8 meter with reach angle of 180 degrees. While the microwave sensor can detect the presence of elephants between 1-16 meters. Data transmission using NRF24L01 can be received intact at a distance between 0-200 meters without any obstacles, whereas when a data barrier can be received at a distance between 0-200 meters but not intact. © 2018 IEEE.
