Abstract

The presence of water and straw powders contaminants even at a relatively small amount may decrease the breakdown voltage and increase the leakage current of the shell diala B transformer oil significantly. The polarization of water and straw powders contaminants in the electric field causes the formation of conductive bridges between the anode and cathode. The breakdown voltage and leakage current in a homogeneous field distribution are greater than those in the nonhomogeneous field. © 2018 IEEE.
