Abstract

Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal is useful for heart beat monitoring. Portable heart beat monitoring system is required by patient who have to move to another room to take other examination at the same time. The system was realized by using analog front-end signal processing block (AD8232), active filter, micro controller Arduino nano, and wireless communication device (nRF24L01) with three-lead configuration. Experiment result confirms the wireless communication device can transfer data with maximum distance of 80m. Furthermore, among three ECG waveforms produced by the system, the ECG waveform of Lead II is the closest one with normal ECG waveform. It confirms that the commonly used three-lead configuration is the Lead II. © 2018 IEEE.
