This paper proposes a controller design of the Cascade-PI algorithm for A Ladder-Secondary Double-Sided Linear Induction Motor (DSLIM). DSLIMs offer several advantages over their rotary counterparts in many implementations, such as in the position control linear motion. It is caused that some mechanical transmission mechanisms are omitted. However, in controlling a DSLIM, there are some difficulties caused by the existense of entcoupled stated of Motor and inherent characteristics such as longitudinal end effect and transversal ledge effects. This paper studies the high performance precision position control system of a ladder secondary double sided linear induction motor (DSLIM by implement the 2-DOF controller concept and symetrical optimum. © 2018 IEEE.
