Physical appearance of a person is a gift from God Almighty that must be grateful. However, a person's body image is often a source of humor and even contempt. This condition has a psychological effect on victims, such as feelings of insecurity, avoiding social interactions, depression, and suicidal behavior. This article aims to analyze the inclusion of body shaming as a form of crime and the possible use of the restorative justice paradigm in its handling. This article is the result of a doctrinal law research with a rule of law approach and a conceptual approach. The results of this study indicate that insulting body image is a criminal offense. Settlement of cases of insult to body image can be resolved by using deliberation to reach a consensus as a form of implementation of the principles of restorative justice. © 2020, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang.
