This research work investigates the eco-friendly synthesis of Ag-Fe-TiO2 nanoparticles through Pongamia pinnata leaf extract which act as reductant and stabilizing agent. The biosynthesized nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Visible spectrophotometry, FTIR, FE-SEM-EDX, XRD, and zeta potential analysis which ensure effective nanoparticle synthesis with a multi-phase crystalline structure and moderate colloidal stability. Catalytic activity of NPs was evaluated against three dyes i.e. Methyl Red, Phenol Red, and p-Nitrophenol in the presence of NaBH4. Of these dyes, Phenol Red showed highest degradation (80.3%) after 90 minutes, followed by p-Nitrophenol (69.6%) and Methyl Red (59%). The synthesized nanoparticles also demonstrated potent antioxidant activity in DPPH assays with up to 74% inhibition at 1000 µg/mL comparable with standard ascorbic acid. These results show the multifunctionality of Ag-Fe-TiO2 nanocomposite as effective agents for dye degradation and antioxidant agent which suggested its potential role in a sustainable solution for wastewater treatment and pollution remediation. © Authors.
