This paper describes the procedure for designing a modified adaptive-relay control using the Recursive Least Square and pole placement algorithm intended to control the output voltage of the Two Level Boost Converter. The design is based on the steady state average model of the Boost DC DC Converter. The controller is used as a modified relay control with the addition of second-order component on the feedback path. For validation, proposed adaptive algorithm is verified in MATLAB m-programming. The verification process is for input voltage variations. This TLBC open loop control response shows oscillations of up to 0.2 second, which indicates that the TLBC has a damping factor value less than one. By using the adaptive-PID relay controller, the closed loop response has no overshoot which has a damping factor value greater than one. © 2021 IEEE.
